Design Engineer
Bridge between design and shipped UI. The OS surface is a craft job — every micro-interaction matters.
About the role
Half designer, half engineer. You write production React, you also push Figma into something usable. The OS surface is where customers spend hours every week — every interaction has to feel right. You'll own the cross-cutting components, the motion language, the typography system, and the parts of the UI that don't belong to a single feature.
What you'll do
- Own the cross-cutting design system in code — typography, motion, layout primitives.
- Pair with feature engineers when they need design help shipping the last 20%.
- Audit and refine the existing OS surface monthly.
- Push our public marketing site forward (the one you're reading).
Who you are
- Write production React (TypeScript) at a senior level.
- Have a portfolio of shipped UI that people loved using, not just screenshots.
- Understand motion timing, easing, accessibility — the boring parts that matter.
- Care about the difference between 12px and 13px.
Nice to have
- Have worked at a design-led product company (Linear, Stripe, Vercel, Arc, Things, etc.).
- Open-source design systems or component libraries.
Compensation
€95–125k base + equity.
